Control Room Operator

Job Summary: Control Room Operator responsible for overseeing PlantPAx/factory talk, communicating with operators and maintenance, and monitoring equipment in a high-humidity, high-temperature work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control fry line and specialty line processes, settings, and trends through PLANTPAx/factory talk and PI recipe control.
- Translate process and packaging areas into clear communication with stakeholders, including Production, Maintenance, QC, and palletizer personnel.
- Makes changes and adjustments to process settings as required in conjunction with supervision and process operators.
- React to alarms by taking corrective action and notifying relevant employees.
- Communicate and coordinate cut changes, downtime, and other production-related activities.
- Maintain documentation, including downtime, trends, processing records, SPC/OEE data, RTM data, OSI PI entries, and SAP labor entry.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of production processes from potato receiving to palletizing.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in making decisions relative to production line operation.
- Superior communication skills, ability to follow detailed instructions, and maintain good working relationships with Supervision and coworkers.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently using effective time management and organizational skills.
- Mechanically inclined and able to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems.
- Familiarity with in-process control testing and entering results into designated databases.
- Basic computer skills and proven history of safe work habits.
- Ability to work on a rotating shift basis and successful completion of a 90-day familiarization period.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to manage high humidity, high temperature work environment as per McCain heat stress policy.
- Physically capable of performing job duties.
