This posting will be used to fill two term positions, one ending March 31, 2026 and the other ending June 25, 2025. This posting will also establish a 12-month eligibility list which will be used to fill anticipatory perm, term, casual and AOC positions.

This opportunity

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to provide therapeutic recreation assessments and formulate individualized and/or group therapy plans, treatment goals and objectives. You will facilitate the development, maintenance and expression of an appropriate leisure lifestyle to individuals with physical, mental, social and/or emotional impairment or limitations. You will also provide clinical direction to the Therapy Assistants, and provide support to staff and volunteers

Important application and job requirements

Essential qualifications

Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the qualifications below. Selections for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.

  • Baccalaureate Degree in therapeutic recreation/recreation therapy
  • Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification through the National Council Therapeutic Recreation Certification
  • Experience in clinical recreation assessment and treatment of residents, program development and implementation (in a long-term care setting, is preferred)
  • Experience supervising staff or volunteers is an asset

  • Shift work (days, evenings, and weekends);
