Role Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring injured workers receive benefits to which they are entitled.
- Develop, attract, retain, motivate, and supervise an effective management team to achieve objectives.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, workers, and employers to implement proactive early and safe return to work initiatives, effective claims management, and workplace safety.
- Oversee technology advancements and other projects to ensure teams are successful in integrating systems and operational practices that enhance service delivery.
- Create benchmarks and set evidence-based outcomes to mobilize teams to enhance delivery and impact change.
- Ensure timely action with relevant parties to respond to and impact change.
- Adopt a continuous improvement approach to assessing and evaluating programs and services, focusing on improving efficiency and removing non-value-added activities.
- University degree in a social science, health care, business, public administration, commerce, or a similar discipline, preferably at the master's level.
- Five or more years of experience in a leadership role, with management capacity to effectively work in a team environment.
- Strong leadership abilities and exceptional interpersonal communication and planning abilities.
- Ability to think strategically, analytically, and use good judgment in providing oversight and solutions to support the delivery of public services.
- Skilled problem solver with the ability to manage issues and work independently.
- Experience implementing key performance indicators and using evidence to inform change.
- Strong communication skills and abilities, both oral and written.
- A dynamic leader who embodies our values and work style.
