We are Hiring a Dedicated LPN
As part of our interdisciplinary team, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will play a crucial role in assessing and treating clients with mental health and addiction issues. From managing treatments to prescribing medications, this role involves working various shifts to ensure comprehensive care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver client care according to professional standards
- Utilize nursing process for client assessment and care
- Develop and implement client care plans
- Administer medications and ensure client records are up-to-date
- Provide counseling and support to clients and families
- Maintain a therapeutic environment for clients
- Offer health teaching and coordinate client appointments
- Participate in team assessments, planning, and evaluation
- Assist with crisis intervention and addiction information
- Perform other assigned duties
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited LPN school with pharmacological training
- Registered LPN in Alberta with current CPR certification
- Recent clinical experience with medication administration
- Leadership and charge experience preferred
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in proper body mechanics and ability to handle heavy lifting
- Knowledge of person-centered care approach
- Effective team collaboration skills
