We are currently seeking a Concrete Patcher / Finisher for a project in Kamloops, British Columbia to contribute to fast-paced and demanding assignments. Some experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Smooth and shape newly poured concrete surfaces
• Rectify rough areas on concrete surfaces by filling them with fresh materials
• Setting concrete forms, patching existing surfaces, cutting expansion joints, and overseeing concrete curing processes may also be required
• Operate equipment, including mechanized boom lifts with articulating baskets
• Use specialized tools and apply patching expertise to rectify imperfections in concrete
• Apply cementitious materials to enhance the appearance of hardened concrete walls
• Recognize and address potential hazards related to assigned tasks and seek clarification when needed
• Adhere to lockout/tagout protocols
• Follow all safety regulations, policies, and procedures, and report unsafe activities to supervisors and/or the Safety department
• Collaborate effectively with field workforce team members
• Ensure punctual attendance and meet production deadlines
• Perform additional tasks as directed by superiors

Requirements

• Preferably 3 years of experience in the construction sector
• Essential understanding of construction principles and practices
• Capability to work in varying weather and site conditions that may affect work hours
• Physical abilities such as lifting, climbing, balancing, crouching, crawling, and reaching
• Proficiency in wearing personal protective equipment
• Possession of necessary patching and carpentry tools
• Prior high-rise construction experience would be advantageous
• Fall Protection certification considered a plus
• WHMIS 2015 certification required (training can be provided)
• CSTS certification required (training can be provided)
