Electrical Journeyman

Osco Construction is a reputable, open-shop contractor serving Atlantic Canada since 1960. Our company operates in three main divisions: Construction Management, Electrical Contracting, and Communication Cabling.

We are currently seeking applications from 4th Year Electrical Apprentices or Red Seal Electricians to join our established teams in Charlottetown, PEI.

Key responsibilities include:

• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, circuit diagrams, and code specifications
• Teaching Electrical Apprentices the trade
• Knowledge and experience in PVC, EMT, and galvanized steel conduit systems
• Troubleshooting existing and new branch circuitry
• Installation, replacement, and repair of distribution equipment and electrical controls
• Troubleshooting electrical issues using testing devices
• Repairing and replacing equipment, wiring, or fixtures
• Operating hand tools and power tools associated with electrical work

Requirements include:

• Experience working in commercial and industrial environments
• Valid Driver's License
• Willingness to travel within the province, with compensation offered for travel-related costs
• Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
