Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Meat Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Meat Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, ensuring that our meat and seafood products are properly stocked and displayed, and providing excellent customer service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Zoning the department to ensure a clean and organized store environment
  • Rotating stock and checking for expired products to ensure freshness and quality
  • Ensuring merchandise is properly signed and priced to prevent errors and discrepancies
  • Adhering to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
  • Providing excellent customer service by answering questions, making recommendations, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Preparing deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers, stackers, and other utensils to ensure high-quality products
  • Following Health and Safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. You will also need to be able to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends.
