Job Type: Permanent full-time

Schedule: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

Language Requirements: Bilingual essential

Job Summary:

As a Vocational Workshop Attendant, you will play a vital role in supporting patients in carpentry and other projects. Your primary responsibility will be to guide and assist patients in the organization, planning, and execution of projects, in accordance with their recovery plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support patients in carpentry and other projects, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of project plans, taking into account patient needs and abilities.
  • Collaborate with occupational therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient-centered care.
  • Provide guidance and support to patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workshop environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma and an additional program or course in community integration from six months to one year in length or the equivalent.
  • One year of previous related experience is required.
  • Good judgment and organizational skills.
  • Autonomy, adaptability, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform assigned work.
  • Good work history (performance and attendance).
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values.
  • Adherence to the Network's confidentiality rules.
