We are on the lookout for a Safety Management System Lead to bolster our team in St. John's, NL, and steer safety operations across the PAL Group of Companies. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS) by overseeing safety reporting, quality practices, and operational processes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update safety and quality reporting systems diligently
  • Support company SMS programs by following established protocols
  • Conduct thorough investigations and root cause analyses as needed
  • Stay updated on aviation regulations and safety standards
  • Provide oversight to quality and SMS coordinators
  • Undertake internal audits as required

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5 years of proven experience in SMS processes
  • Preferably 3-5 years in Aviation or Transportation Sector
  • Familiarity with Canadian Aviation Regulations
  • Leadership experience is a plus
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Proficient in risk analysis and root cause investigations
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines
