We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team in Toronto, Canada, to lead a multi-billion-dollar aviation infrastructure program. This project aims to transform the airport into one of the most advanced, sustainable, and passenger-friendly facilities in the world. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the project's timeframes and budgets, ensuring diligent management and timely identification of risks, challenges, and mitigations.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programs in the transportation sector, with a deep understanding of property or infrastructure project management. They will also possess strong commercial and financial acumen, leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams, and experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Project Oversight: Overseeing project timeframes and budgets, ensuring diligent management and timely identification of risks, challenges, and mitigations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Ensuring successful project delivery in line with stakeholder expectations, effectively communicating strategies to clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Programme Management: Managing the timely sequencing, methodology, and production of staging plans from project inception through to post-completion.
- Client and Team Management: Overseeing the management of client and consultant teams, ensuring effective collaboration and completion of projects in line with client expectations.
- Safety and Wellbeing: Promoting Mace's value of Safety First, supporting the safety and wellbeing of all staff and sharing lessons learned through safety moments and the HSW framework.
- Subject Matter Expertise and Guidance: Providing subject matter expertise and guidance to support the success of broader Mace projects and drive continuous improvement through best practices and lessons learned.
- Strategic and Commercial Responsibilities: Aligning project delivery with strategic initiatives, placing emphasis on construction to production, digital and data, service excellence, quality, assurance, and sustainability.
- Environmental Responsibility: Working collaboratively towards the goal of net zero carbon transition, identifying and managing associated carbon emissions and reductions during project delivery.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in an applicable field or equivalent industry qualification or chartership, and previous experience working with the GTAA (Greater Toronto Airports Authority) or equivalent. Industry qualification or chartership, e.g. PgMP, PMI, CMI, DBIA, is also desirable.
