Summary of the Senior Technician - Security role: Collaborate with project managers and sales teams to review, analyze, and implement installation blueprints and plans to complete installations, ensuring client satisfaction.

This role requires expertise in installing and servicing electronic security systems, understanding and following BOMs, and making adjustments or finding alternative solutions as needed. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with clients and prospects to deliver exceptional service and build relationships. Additionally, they will provide customer training, perform administrative duties, and mentor junior team members.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Installing and servicing electronic security systems
  • Pre-wiring, installing, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Preparing and executing Acceptance Testing Plans
  • Assisting in system design and layout
  • Providing customer training and responding to technical inquiries
  • Building relationships with clients and prospects
  • Performing administrative duties
  • Mentoring and coaching junior team members
  • Site leadership of Technician crews

Required qualifications include:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a technical role within the integrated security industry
  • Postsecondary training in electronics or equivalent considered an asset
  • Vendor Certification in low voltage systems preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid Driver's License with clean abstract
  • Ability to use hand and specialty tools associated with the industry
  • Ability to lift 50lbs consistently
  • Capable of prolonged standing/walking
  • Able to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Genetec certified
