Job Summary

As a Meat Associate at Walmart Canada, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the quality of our meat products. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in the retail industry and work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Zoning the department to maintain a clean and organized store environment
  • Rotating stock and checking for expired products to ensure freshness and quality
  • Ensuring merchandise is properly signed and priced to meet customer expectations
  • Adhering to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates
  • Taking orders for Deli Department merchandise and preparing sliced meats, cheeses, and other products
  • Following proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels
  • Preparing deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers, stackers, and other utensils
  • Following Health and Safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment. You will also need to be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
