- Design and develop automation testing strategies, extend story specifications to align with automation testing strategies, and include real-world data and edge cases.
- Facilitate root cause analysis of defects with the team and ensure continuous improvement.
- Facilitate collaborative solution discovery sessions using lightweight techniques such as Story Mapping.
- Collaborate with the delivery team to define the overall testing approach and perform acceptance testing to validate business requirements in rapid iterations.
- Perform manual tests, develop test data, construct, and execute exploratory, system, regression, migration, back-end, and user acceptance tests.
- Conduct exploratory testing to find bugs that other testing means would not find during every sprint and drive testing workshops.
- Conduct functional tests and ensure their readability and maintainability.
- Embed with development teams and infuse quality in every phase of the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in product design and requirements analysis, work with the team during project planning, and accurately estimate work and scope release deliverables.
- Create and execute acceptance criteria based on requirements and assess the usefulness of test cases.
- Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles.

Requirements:
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and present status reports, test results, and functional testing results.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to review requirements and define and develop test strategies.
- Work with multiple software development groups to deliver high-quality products.
- Experience with QA processes, agile delivery, and testing methodologies.
- Ability to work with technology-focused peers and work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Ideal experience in agile and waterfall projects and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in providing QAT time and effort estimation based on business requirements.

Requirements:
- 5 to 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or QA role.
- Experience testing applications in the banking or financial services industry.
- Experience with frameworks such as JUnit, SOAPUI, Postman, Protractor, RestAssured, etc.
- Comfortable with native, API, integration, exploratory, performance/load/stress, usability, accessibility, and security testing.
- Experience in executing test cases and documenting results for various types of testing.
- Understanding of cloud computing platforms, web, API, and database testing technologies.
- Knowledge of automated testing industry best practices and trends.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipeline.
- Self-motivated and driven to deliver quality work.
- Able to navigate complex and ambiguous situations with ease.
- Engineering degree in computer science or relevant work experience.
Working Conditions:
