Reporting to the Administrator, Training and Development, the Clerk, Training is responsible for the daily administrative duties for the Training department at Elkview Operations. This role is a 12 – 18-month temporary contract position.

This person is self-motivated, has strong problem-solving skills, and is detail oriented, with a passion for continuous improvement. This role requires a high level of integrity and an ability to know your audience, thus communication and interpersonal skills are vital.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Lead the administration and development of the LMS (Learning Management System)
  • Ensuring that training documentation is consistently maintained and accurately detailed in the LMS
  • Develop and schedule training materials and courses for all mine site departments
  • Lead the document control and continued development and improvement of site Standard Practices and Procedures
  • Assist in the administration and scheduling of the Apprenticeship Program
  • Work with Business Units, Human Resources, and Training Departments to help coordinate projects pertaining to Training and Development
  • Assist with the development and assignment of Computer Based Training (CBT) Programs
  • Participate in the internal and external auditing of the Training Department
  • Assist with and schedule New Hire Orientation

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years of experience working in an administrative capacity in an industrial environment
  • Experience working with a learning management and electronic filing system
  • Strong digital literacy and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite

Salary Range: $53,520

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.

Successful candidates must be willing to satisfy the pre-employment requirements of a pre-employment drug screen and three professional references.
