Cyber Security Internship Overview

Bell is seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join our Cyber Security team as interns. As a Cyber Security intern, you will be part of a dynamic team that is responsible for protecting our customers' and businesses' sensitive information from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of security protocols and procedures to protect against cyber threats
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security risks
  • Collaborate with the security team to respond to security incidents and develop incident response plans
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of security policies and procedures
  • Assist in the implementation of security awareness training programs for employees
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a university degree program in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of security concepts and protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security information and event management systems
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as Java, Python, or Bash
  • Basic understanding of IT security and experience with security tools and technologies
  • Experience with operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS
  • Knowledge of networking and network security, including TCP/IP, routing, and switching
  • Familiarity with security protocols, such as TLS/SSL, SSH, and VPNs
  • Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools
  • Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts and their potential uses
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP & Azure) and cloud security principles
  • Familiarity with micro segmentation, security events monitoring, lifecycle and triage; threat detection and incident management
  • Familiarity with vulnerability management: vulnerability detection, security testing, penetration testing, risk analysis and vulnerability remediation
