Location: All Vancouver Lower Mainland.
Responsibilities:
- Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
- Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles.
- Install roofing tiles.
- Install single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials (example: modified plastics, elastomeric, other asphaltic compositions)
- Repair or replace shingles and shakes.
- Work on sloped roofs.
- Unloading tools, preparing necessary materials and setting up required equipment.
- Knowledge of basic tools and power equipment.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment.
- Handle materials and transport them on job sites.
- Adhere to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members.
- Maintain job site cleanliness.
- Document work progress and report to supervisors.
- General clean-up of the site; sweeping, shoveling, removing, and properly disposing of debris and waste materials and overall site maintenance.
Qualifications & Must Haves:
- Solid understanding of construction processes and being able to complete assigned tasks independently and without supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively, work individually, in a team and follow instructions
- Strong site safety awareness.
- Lifting, carrying, and moving materials. Up to 25 lbs.
- Have your own hard-hat, safety-vest, gloves & safety boots.
Nice to Haves (But Not Necessary):
- Have access to own vehicle or reliable transportation.
- Has Fall Protection, First Aid and/or WHMIS.
- Tickets in Heavy Equipment Use.
- Live in Vancouver and Lower Mainland area or nearby.
