Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technologist to join our team at AMD. As a key member of our lab operations team, you will play a critical role in maintaining our IP characterization lab, ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment, and driving innovation in our field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lab Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of our IP characterization lab, including test set-ups, equipment calibration and repair, and ordering lab supplies.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and repaired to ensure optimal performance.
  • Test and Measurement: Conduct measurements and collect data on mixed-signal circuits in support of IP characterization.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an up-to-date inventory of equipment, software, and other lab supplies.
  • Procurement: Order CAPEX and OPEX equipment on SAP S4/FIORI/ARIBA.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with equipment vendors to learn about equipment capabilities, configurations, and measurement techniques.
Requirements
  • Education: Electronics diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, familiarity with analog circuits, RF, and signal integrity principles, and experience with test equipment such as scopes, function generators, network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Experience: Experience in ASIC test techniques and methodologies, strong problem-solving skills, and good soldering and repair skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Programming Skills: Familiarity with Visual Basic, Visual C++, Python, and Pearl scripting.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the electronics industry, particularly in IP characterization and lab operations.
