Electrical Assembly Technician

The New IEM, Llc is seeking a skilled Electrical Assembly Technician to join their team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined individual to assemble and wire electrical components with precision and accuracy. The successful candidate will utilize a range of tools, including wire termination and component layout tools, to ensure high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and wire electrical components with precision and accuracy
  • Utilize a range of tools, including wire termination and component layout tools, to ensure high-quality results
  • Follow established practices for wire termination, routing, and bundling to meet The New IEM, Llc's strict quality standards
  • Mount electrical components, including circuit breakers, switches, and transformers, with attention to detail and safety
  • Meet production schedules while maintaining a clean and organized work area
  • Collaborate with supervisors to identify and resolve issues, and provide suggestions for process improvements
  • Adhere to established safety guidelines and independently inspect work for defects
  • Mount devices to back panels and enclosures using various methods, including drilling and tapping
  • Identify opportunities for cost-effective alternative methods and materials

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Physical fitness and mechanical aptitude, with prior experience using hand tools
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, standing for long periods, lifting up to 30 lbs, and completing repetitive tasks
  • Quick hands and attention to detail, with a strong work ethic and motivation to learn
  • Proven safe work record and ability to work as part of a team
  • On-the-job training and choice of work schedules (5 days/8 hours or 4 days/10 hours)
  • Safe, clean work environment and variety of tasks with opportunities to learn

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Physical Demands: Sitting – 5%, Walking/Standing – 95%
  • Lifting: Frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Bending: Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, and climb.
  • Vision: Long periods of close work on small fonts and fine print on drawings and ability to see small or detailed items.
  • Mental Demands: Interpret, analyze, research, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Work Environment:

  • Shop/warehouse environment, not climate controlled, with exposure to excessive heat and cold, wet/humid conditions, noise/vibration, hazards, dust, and fumes.
