Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technologist I

Location: Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, NL

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist I to join our team at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital. As a Medical Laboratory Technologist I, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality laboratory services to patients and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to analyze patient samples and provide accurate results
• Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to provide laboratory results and recommendations for patient care
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with advances in laboratory technology and procedures

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology diploma program or a Medical Laboratory Science degree program
• Certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) as a General MLT or Subject MLT (in the applicable discipline)
• Proof of current registration with the Newfoundland and Labrador Council of Health Professionals
