Position Summary

As a Grocery Associate at Walmart Canada, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in the retail industry while providing exceptional customer service. This role involves maintaining and zoning the grocery area, assisting with stocking and sales, and adhering to the company's basic beliefs and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Zones the department to ensure a clean and organized shopping environment.
  • Rotates stock and checks for expired products to maintain high-quality merchandise.
  • Ensures merchandise is properly signed and priced to meet customer expectations.
  • Follows food safety and handling procedures, as well as sanitation and cleaning procedures, to maintain a safe and healthy shopping environment.
  • Follows proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels, and other related tasks.
  • Ensures the department is fully stocked with merchandise and is ready for business.
  • Follows Health and Safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Stocks merchandise, picks, and downstocks as needed, and applies product protection when required.
