The Maintenance Apprentice will be responsible for supporting the overall Asset Management program and contributing to reliability and performance metrics. This role requires specialized knowledge in rotating equipment, boilers and thermal equipment, electrical and instrumentation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Contributes to documenting maintenance activities in CMMS
• Takes initiative to get work done with little direction from supervisor
• Provides minimal guidance, direction and training to others
• Works well as a team member, sharing responsibility for tasks or objectives
• Engages professionally with contractors and ensures a high level of quality and accountability on services provided

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3-6 years experience in a maintenance related role
• Eligible for apprentice program under journeyman millwright
• Ability to effectively and accurately complete work orders, material requests, incident reports, fit for duty and other documentation
• Ability to operate a forklift considered an asset
• Ability to move about all areas of the plant, including catwalks, deck grating and uneven surfaces utilizing ladders when necessary
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg loads from ground periodically
• Ability to access confined spaces general cleaning and inspections
