Job Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and team-oriented Laundry Attendant/Housekeeper to join our Housekeeping team at The Josie Hotel, Autograph Collection. As a Laundry Attendant/Housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness and guest satisfaction in our hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Laundry Operations: Operate washing and drying equipment, load and unload laundry from machines, measure and administer cleaning agents to laundry according to product specifications.
  2. Housekeeping Supervision: Supervise and direct housekeeping and laundry activities to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  3. Linens and Towels: Ensure that all linens and towels meet our high standards of cleanliness and quality.
  4. Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean up machines and surrounding areas, keep the laundry area clean, and follow all safety protocols.
  5. Guest Room Preparation: Strip and make beds, change bed linens, dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly, push and pull vacuum throughout the entire room, and empty trash.
  6. Room Inspection: Visually inspect the room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.
  7. Team Collaboration: Assist coworkers to complete tasks as required and assist in houseperson back of house and front of house duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Hotel Housekeeping Experience
  • Knowledge of basic sanitation requirements/controls and applications of chemicals
  • Knowledge of all processes applicable to housekeeping and laundry
  • Ability to communicate well with guests and work as a team player
