Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Consumables Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet all customers in a polite and friendly manner, providing a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Assist customers by promoting products and services, locating merchandise, and making purchase decisions.
  • Resolve customer issues and refer concerns to management where appropriate.
  • Maintain sales floor presentation by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, setting up and maintaining product displays, and signing and pricing merchandise.
  • Ensure proper handling of claims and returns, secure merchandise, identify high shrink items, and maintain a safe work environment as per Company policies and procedures.
  • Receive and stock merchandise, utilize equipment appropriately, administer required paperwork, logs, and other documentation.
  • Refer appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager as required.
  • Stock merchandise/picks, downstock if applicable, apply product protection when required, set and complete modulars, including flex modulars, and set new shelf caps.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A strong customer service focus and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods.
