Senior Business Analyst - Capital Markets

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with expertise in the Capital Markets space to join our DataOps team. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining requirements and driving adoption of rules-based testing, building data controls, and resolving data lineage blockers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead meetings and working sessions with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure consumer data consumption patterns are understood.
  • Document consumer consumption patterns and define requirements for enabling rules-based testing.
  • Coordinate and drive root cause analysis of data quality issues reported in production and create quarterly reporting.
  • Coordinate and work with stakeholders to create meaningful Data Quality metrics and KPIs.
  • Analyze requirements, identify gaps with a specific focus on data lineage and controls, and propose delivery solutions.
  • Support the CDE identification and declaration, working closely with data and business partners.
  • Apply CM expertise to analyze system documentation and artifacts to gather information and requirements that enable lineage, controls assessments, rules-based testing, and Controls Testing.
  • Support control gap analysis, Data Risk Assessment, and risk Controls and Self-Assessments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or engineering.
  • Business analysts/data analysis experience.
  • SQL skills.
  • Exposure to data analytics.
  • Capital markets industry experience.

Nice to Have:

  • Cross-asset experience of Cash and Derivative Products (Rates, Credit, and Derivatives), Commodities, Equities, etc.
  • Good understanding of Trade Lifecycle (Pre, Post) and Front to Back functions (Operations, Product Control, Market Risk & Finance).
  • Familiarity with data governance and metadata management tools such as Collibra.
  • Understanding of front-to-back data flows and processing in Banking and Capital Markets.
  • Knowledge of data quality, data management, and data governance best practices.
