About the Role

As a Clerk Cashier, you will provide retail services to a unique client base - members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). Your role will involve operating Point of Sales systems, handling cash and credit transactions, and maintaining a float. You will also be responsible for responding to customer enquiries, stocking and facing store shelves, and preparing food and beverage orders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide retail services to Canadian Armed Forces members and their families
• Operate Point of Sales systems and handle cash and credit transactions
• Respond to customer enquiries and provide information on merchandising
• Stock and face store shelves
• Prepare food and beverage orders

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Food Handling Certification
• Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (Quebec)
• Experience in cash handling and food and beverage preparation and service
• Competencies in client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership

Language Requirements:

French is essential for this role

Working Conditions:

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location. You will be required to perform moderate lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. more than 10 lbs/4.5 kg but less than 50 lbs/23 kg)
