Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Health Care Aide to join our team. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide emotional and physical support to residents, including those with dementia and other cognitive impairments
- Assist with meal preparation and serving, ensuring residents' dietary needs are met
- Monitor and report changes in residents' health status to the unit nurse
- Participate in the development and review of care plans, ensuring residents' needs are met
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for residents, adhering to infection control and safety protocols
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure residents receive comprehensive care and support
Requirements:
- Recognized Health Care Aide Certificate or completed two years of accepted registered nursing education program
- One year of previous experience as a Health Care Aide, preferably in a personal care home setting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with residents, families, and staff
- Physical and mental health to meet the demands of the position
