What You'll Do:

  • The responsibilities of a Production Tech are dynamic and may include but are not limited to activities related to: receiving, seed sampling, courier shipments, supporting field and plant administrative activities.
  • Harvest activities such as drying, receiving, quality sample submissions.
  • Coordinate summer roguer hiring and training to meet agronomist's needs.
  • Assist with safety standard implementation and reviews.
  • Administrative responsibilities include general production plant reception and office tasks supporting the team.
  • Compliance with Quality and Safety requirements including developing and reviewing procedures.

Qualifications

Education:

  • You have your High School Diploma/GED OR are willing and able to obtain your GED within a specified time frame of hire as a condition of employment.
  • 2 -Year College diploma or equivalent experience preferred.

What Skills You Need:

  • Knowledge of production agriculture.
  • Ability to adjust quickly to changing conditions and anticipate needs.
  • Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Problem solving capabilities.
  • Conflict management skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Computer proficient including MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access
  • Willingness to work in a variety of areas (plant, office)
  • Ability to work standing and sitting for extended periods.
  • Position may involve repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet and dry conditions.
  • Willing and able to work overtime/weekends/holidays when needed

This position is required to work in/from the plant 100% - not remote eligible.
