A bit about our Centres for Early Development

At Mothercraft, we are committed to delivering outstanding child care and early learning experiences that foster healthy development for all families.


Our five Centres for Early Development (CEDs) - situated in Brookfield Place, Eaton Centre, Robertson House, Midtown, and Avondale - embody this dedication by offering enriching full-day programs for kids aged 3 months to 6 years.


With extended hours from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, our CEDs are tailored to support busy families while providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to thrive.

Job Summary


As our newest Early Childhood Assistant, you'll play a critical role in shaping the development of the young minds under our care.

You'll create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn and grow.

Your passion for early childhood education and ability to connect with children on their level will be key to fostering a positive and engaging atmosphere.

You'll collaborate with a team of dedicated educators and support staff to deliver top-tier care and education for our children.

As an Early Childhood Assistant, you'll


  • Assist in tending to the physical and emotional needs of children
  • Cultivate positive and secure relationships with children
  • Aid in program planning and implementation, and the preparation and execution of a culturally sensitive program plan
  • Promote children's development and well-being through an enriched physical and social environment
  • Communicate with families, colleagues, and management, keeping them informed of any concerns
  • Ensure a safe physical environment for children

You'll be well-prepared if you have


  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Full vaccination with a recognized COVID-19 vaccine
  • Immunizations and health assessment as per the Child Care and Early Years Act
  • Standard First Aid & CPR C Certificate
  • French language skills are advantageous
