Quality Control Specialist: Shipping

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist: Shipping to join our team at Sunset. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of our shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Enter invoices accurately into our computer system
  • Report any product quality issues to the supervisor
  • Properly rotate and store products in the warehouse
  • Operate a forklift to transport products around the warehouse
  • Organize the warehouse to ensure efficient product placement
  • Ensure product returns are properly stored and documented
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of produce quality and safety
  • Follow company food safety and warehouse safety programs
  • Accurately count and review product inventory

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years of warehouse experience, preferably in produce
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and reading skills in English
  • Basic math skills and experience operating a forklift

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a refrigerated warehouse environment with temperatures averaging 50°F
  • Background noise levels may approach 70 dB
  • Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs
  • Regularly sit, stand, walk, and bend
  • Manual dexterity required for computer skills
