Assemble fabricated parts, components, or units at floor stations, prepare parts for testing, test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.

A Day in the Life of a Production Assembler

  • Assemble and calibrate fabricated parts or units to meet product specifications
  • Identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repair them as necessary
  • Propose measures to increase productivity and efficiency
  • Perform simple screening, bagging, boxing, or cutting operations
  • Inspect and test work for quality
  • Perform and log scheduled preventative maintenance of production equipment
  • Determine sequence of operations, materials required, and procedures needed
  • Stage job materials for production according to procedure
