Job Summary

As a Bakery Associate at Walmart Canada, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean and organized bakery area. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the quality and visual appearance of bakery merchandise, maintaining inventory levels, and adhering to food safety and handling procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the quality and visual appearance of bakery merchandise, including bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
  2. Maintain a clean and organized bakery area, adhering to sanitation and cleaning procedures.
  3. Ensure that department is fully stocked with merchandise and is ready for business.
  4. Adhere to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
  5. Follow proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
  6. Prepare bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of bakery merchandise.
  7. Ensure all displays are secured in a safe and proper manner.
