Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior API Automation Tester with 7-12 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. The candidate will have experience in both manual and automated API testing, as well as a strong understanding of backend testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create, implement, and maintain automated test scripts for RESTful APIs using tools and frameworks such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
  • Execute automated tests to validate the functionality, performance, and security of APIs.
  • Review automated test runs, report on automated test execution and coverage statuses, and maintain broken automated tests.
  • Contribute to the test automation effort, advocating for automation and suggesting process improvements.
  • Use Jira for defect tracking and project management, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Implement and manage build processes using Maven to streamline development workflows.
  • Coordinate with multi-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Provide detailed reports on testing outcomes, highlighting areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7+ years in Quality Assurance and Testing with 4+ years of relevant hands-on experience in Automation testing.
  • At least 4+ years of experience in Automation framework development using Java/selenium with exposure to TDD, BDD.
  • Must have 2+ years of hands-on experience for API automation using Rest Assured/ReadyAPI/Cypress Framework.
  • 2+ years of experience with SoapUI or Postman.
  • Hands-on experience in writing/implementing Automation Test Cases, Test Scenarios, Test Plan & Test Reports.
  • Ability to design and build test automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Hands-on CI/CD experience in Maven, GitHub, Jenkins, and TestNG.
