ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

When acting as a Loadmaster:

  • Able to work in collaboration with Flight, Ground and Maintenance Operation teams;
  • In charge of loading and offloading Dash 8 Cargo aircraft;
  • Follow a prepared weight and balance and ensure loads match those planned;
  • Follows and observes flight crew on daily cargo missions;
  • Work in co-operation with the flight crew / aircraft mechanics;
  • Follow procedures as outlined in the Loadmaster Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

When acting as a Groomer:

  • Able to work in collaboration with Flight, Ground and Maintenance Operation teams;
  • Clean Cargo / Combi aircraft according to the required procedures;
  • Clean exterior and interior of vehicles;
  • Ensure the organization of all the maintenance equipment;
  • Work in co-operation with the flight crew / aircraft mechanics;
  • Keep the hangar clean;
  • Perform any other duties as deemed necessary by the Maintenance Crew Chief;
  • Assist with Aircraft turnarounds.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate in at least 2 of the following languages: Inuktitut, French, English
  • Ability to hold a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Hold a valid driving license
  • Be in good physical health
  • Commercial pilot licence is an asset
