Public Health Nurse required to provide services within the Population Health Promotion Model and Primary Health Care framework.

• Translate knowledge from health and social sciences to support health-enhancing behaviors of individuals, families and population groups.
• Provide targeted interventions, programs, and advocacy within established guidelines.
• Liaise with, and refer to, other health personnel, sectors and community groups.
• Plan, organize, implement and evaluate nursing programs in an assigned area.

• One (1) year of public health experience required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN).
• Public Health Nursing courses.

• Facilitation skills.

• Demonstrates skill in group education, individual counselling and advocacy.
• Uses critical analysis, reflective practice and assessment.
• Demonstrated knowledge in media communication and social marketing.

• Ability to demonstrate appropriate level of professional conduct and judgement.
