Job Title: Snow School Instructor

Conservation Halton is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Snow School Instructor to join our team at Glen Eden. As a Snow School Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction to participants of all ages and skill levels.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide instruction for assigned Ski/Snowboard lessons
  • Assist with supervision of snow school programs, including staff training and on-hill supervision
  • Support management of class sizes and quality of Snow School Programs and lessons
  • Assist with responding to participant inquiries during the assignment of lessons and other program feedback received throughout the season
  • Assist staff in creating a clear and open line of communication with program participants (and parents)
  • Ensure high-quality instruction for participants by providing regular instructor feedback and contributing to performance reviews
  • Work in accordance with Conservation Halton's Safety Policies & Procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of CSIA and CASI teaching methodologies
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Previous experience leading small teams and a demonstrated ability to create a positive work environment
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
  • Strong organizational and class management skills
  • Ability to adapt to the daily challenges associated with the operation of the Snow School
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Dayforce, Outlook)
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds, stand, and walk for long periods of time
  • Successful candidates must be active members of CASI/CSIA/CSCF prior to first day of employment
  • Successful candidates must provide own ski or snowboarding equipment
