About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Wealth Management Technology Services team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the initiation, planning, and execution of complex projects, ensuring timely delivery, and exceeding client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end Agile project management, spanning small to large projects with high value and ability to influence decisions.
  • Lead highly visible projects with third-party vendors and significant technology components, ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Represent the business and technology on projects, building relationships and trust with business partners.
  • Drive issues and challenges, following up on assigned action items, and ensuring project progress.
  • Develop and manage detailed schedules, identify early warning indicators, and provide direction for early resolution of risks, issues, and clear escalation paths.
  • Oversee financials and staffing levels to efficiently meet project delivery requirements, complete risk assessments, and track value for effective decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners, including vendors, RBC IT teams, and product teams.
  • Build and present senior-level presentations and project communications.
  • Initiate process improvements and promote agile enablement within the team.
  • Complete post-project reviews and retrospectives, ensuring project closure.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of end-to-end Agile project management experience, with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies, change, issue, and risk management, and working knowledge of Software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to drive success.
  • Previous experience in financial services, preferably in wealth management, with a strong understanding of the industry.
  • Project/program management certifications, such as PMP and/or CSM, are an asset.
