The Opportunity:



We're currently seeking a Senior IT Systems Administrator to join our team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in maintaining our IT infrastructure seamlessly. Your responsibilities will include overseeing network, server, and client system management while enhancing network security to safeguard our data and operations.



This position is based in Richmond, BC, with minimal remote work options. Candidates must reside in or be open to relocating to the Lower Mainland.



Your main duties will involve:



  • System Administration:
    • Manage and configure server/client systems.
    • Administer Microsoft Linux VMs and Microsoft 365.
    • Handle networking and end-user device setups.
  • Network Security:
    • Ensure stability and security across local and cloud environments.
    • Implement security measures to protect data and operations.
    • Perform system audits to identify and address vulnerabilities.
    • Manage data backups for data integrity.
  • Technical Support:
    • Offer direct support for IT infrastructure and end-user issues.
    • Resolve technical problems promptly in line with company policies.
  • Project Management:
    • Collaborate on system upgrades, migrations, and technology projects.
    • Coordinate with vendors for product and service deliveries.


For this role, you should have:



  • A degree or certification in Information Technology.
  • At least 5 years of system and network administration experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft VMs, Cloud Services, and Linux systems.
  • Skills in PowerShell, Bash, and other scripting languages.
  • Proven track record in supporting IT systems in a corporate environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and project management abilities.
  • Excellent English communication skills.


Preferred but not mandatory qualifications:



  • Database administration experience, especially with SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in coding tools like PHP, Python, SQL, Git, and Docker.
