Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at BC Cancer. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our pharmacy team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and prepare medication orders for distribution to patients.
  • Verify prescriptions and ensure accuracy and completeness of dispensed prescriptions.
  • Enter and maintain accurate records of medication verification and quality assurance checks.
  • Distribute medications and maintain inventory, wardstock, and narcotic records.
  • Perform related clerical duties, including keyboarding, answering telephone, and filing.
Requirements
  • Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to keyboard.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
