We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Grocery Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Grocery Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with the sale of goods.
Key Responsibilities- Zoning and maintaining the grocery department to ensure a seamless shopping experience for customers.
- Rotating stock and checking for expired products to ensure freshness and quality.
- Ensuring merchandise is properly signed and priced to meet customer needs.
- Adhering to food safety and handling procedures, as well as sanitation and cleaning protocols, to maintain a clean and safe store environment.
- Following proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels, and other related tasks.
- Ensuring the department is fully stocked with merchandise and is ready for business.
- Following Health and Safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Stocking merchandise, picking, and downstocking as needed, while applying product protection when required.
- A minimum rate of pay starting from $15.75, with the potential for rate increases based on relevant experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and provide exceptional customer service.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods.
- Previous experience in retail or customer service.
- Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
