Facilities Maintenance Manager
Reporting to: Contract Manager
Scope of duties and responsibilities:
Oversee all building maintenance systems. Plan, organize and manage the activities of the maintenance team. Assist in the recruitment, training and performance management of the maintenance team. Oversee preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, repairs and minor works using our computerized maintenance management system (Maximo) and consistent with established policies, procedures and our contract with the client. Ensure that all building systems are operated and maintained according to health and safety and regulatory requirements. Prepare and control annual operating expenses and capital budgets for building operations. Ensure that key performance indicators are continually met or exceeded. Develop and maintain a positive work environment for the maintenance team. Develop and maintain a positive relationship with our client and facility users. Compile and prepare a variety of comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders. Provide 24/7 on-call support to the maintenance team and to our client.Essential Attributes:
At least 5 years of experience supervising or managing a large facility in a progressive supervisory role in a unionized environment. A Red Seal Trade certification. Ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) required by Transport Canada to work in the airport. Hands-on and in-depth knowledge and understanding of complex building maintenance systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC and building automation systems. The ability to convey information through excellent verbal and written communication skills. Previous experience working for a facility management organization. Previous experience working in an airport. A candidate with an Electrical FSR A qualification will be preferred. Other details- Job Family New
