Drive a Ready-Mix Truck in urban areas and tight construction sites, performing routine equipment maintenance and contributing to a strong safety culture.

BURNCO is hiring Mixer Drivers to our Fort McMurray, Alberta Ready Mix division. Reporting to the Area Manager, the successful candidates will deliver and pour concrete at various sites and work in a small team to complete client orders.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals with excellent communication skills, capable of driving change and taking pride in their high-quality workmanship.

As a Mixer Driver, you will operate a Ready-Mix Truck, perform routine equipment maintenance, and contribute to keeping locations clean and hazardous-free.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a Ready-Mix Truck in urban areas and tight construction sites.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance.
  • Contribute to keeping locations in and around the plant clean and hazardous-free.
  • Learn our company safety protocol in order to execute work safely.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Class 1 or 3 CDL (w/ air brake endorsement).
  • Clean 5 years Drivers Abstract.
  • Concrete Mixer truck driving experience preferred.
  • Must be mechanically inclined.
  • City driving experience.
  • The ability to drive standard or manual transmission.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and be available on short notice.
  • Ability to successfully pass our pre-employment testing.

  • As a safety-sensitive position, it is a condition of employment that selected candidates successfully pass comprehensive pre-employment testing.
  • Candidates must be able to pass a Background Check, a Drug and Alcohol screen, and Fitness to Work testing.
  • BURNCO has a zero-tolerance policy for any Cannabis-derived products.
  • Candidates hired will be subject to BURNCO's COVID vaccination policy.
