Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Home Attendant/Community Health Worker to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. This is a temporary full-time opportunity that requires a strong commitment to providing exceptional care and support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Observe and report changes in clients' physical, behavioral, and cognitive conditions to supervisors.
  2. Participate in staff meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education programs to maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills.
  3. Complete and maintain accurate records and documentation, including communication books and progress reports.
Job Duties
  1. Perform housekeeping duties, such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, washing dishes, laundry, and bed linen changes.
  2. Plan, prepare, and serve meals, and assist with clean-up after meals.
  3. Assist with ordering and receiving groceries, and support clients with meal planning and preparation.
  4. Provide companionship and engage in leisure activities with clients, such as reading, playing games, and participating in therapeutic exercises.
  5. Perform other related duties as assigned, within the parameters of the Home Support Guidelines.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 education.
  • Class V BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle with business insurance coverage.
  • FoodSafe certification.
  • Recent, related experience of three months.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
