On their behalf, we are excited to be recruiting a Treasury Manager/Senior Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, this role is a key member of the treasury team and plays a critical role in developing and implementing financial resource and risk management strategy that enables CFFI to pursue investment opportunities and enable day to day operations. The Treasury Manager/Senior Manager is responsible for assisting with cashflow forecasting, planning, and management including receivables and payables management.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and enhance the cash flow forecasting process
  • Develop appropriate reporting and modelling capabilities required to support short-term and long-term business needs
  • Oversee cash positioning activities including managing liquidity, cash position reconciliations and bank reporting
  • Prepare annual budgets and lead annual budgeting process for the various divisions of the company
  • Serve as a key contact with lenders, specifically with respect to day-to-day treasury needs
  • Monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance with loan agreements in conjunction with the organization's financial reporting team
  • Monitor debt covenant compliance and prepare related calculations and certificates, in accordance with debt agreements
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including management of accounting clerks
  • Review and approve payments (Wire, EFT, cheques, credit cards)
  • Ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of the organization's billing programs
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly board presentations
  • Special projects within the treasury and accounting functions

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in treasury, working in an accounting firm, or a combination of the two.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skillset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with non-financial personnel
  • Detail oriented with excellent analytical skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Sound problem solving, planning, prioritization and execution skills
  • Previous experience with modelling considered an asset
