Job Description:
  • Coordinate and direct garage personnel for vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Schedule repairs with commercial facilities as needed.
  • Maintain stockroom procedures and record keeping.
  • Plan vehicle servicing and prioritize tasks.
  • Monitor production levels and quality standards.
  • Ensure safety guidelines are followed.
  • Manage fleet compound and tool inventory.
  • Perform minor and major vehicle repairs.
  • Interact with customers and suppliers professionally.
  • Possess a valid Provincial Journeyman Certificate in Heavy Duty or Commercial Transport Mechanical Repair Trade.
  • Maintain detailed records and update computer systems accordingly.
  • Operate all types of vehicles and equipment serviced in the garage.
Employment Requirements:
  • Self-starter with leadership skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Familiar with servicing techniques and maintenance procedures.
  • Possess necessary mechanic certification and driver's license.
  • Ability to perform repairs in varying environments.
  • Own basic hand tools for repairs and servicing.
Working Conditions:
  • Shop and field work environment.
  • Variable shifts and extended stays away from home may be required.
