Job Title: IT Solutions Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Solutions Architect to join our team at the Calgary Airport Authority. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative technology solutions to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate emerging IT solutions to enhance systems and strategic planning
  • Lead discussions to identify process issues, new objectives, and recommend changes for efficiency and alignment
  • Develop implementation plans, business cases, and cost/benefit analyses
  • Design and guide change management strategies for large IT initiatives
  • Maintain deep understanding of the Authority's systems and processes
  • Act as a project advisor, using IT modeling techniques to define requirements, manage project documentation, and control costs
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar
  • Deep understanding of IT architecture, including applications, networking, cloud, and Microsoft tools with at least 6 years of related experience
  • Experience with various methodologies for workflow automation and operational support
  • Familiarity with system development lifecycle, cybersecurity, and airport-specific standards
  • Strong listening, speaking, and writing skills; ability to adapt communication style
