YOUR IMPACT

The Principal Financial Analyst is a key position within the FP&A team and will partner across the organization to consolidate, monitor, process, and report Capital Expenditure (Capex), depreciation and allocations. You will partner with business leaders in making informed operational and investment decisions and have broad exposure within OpenText in this centralized function.

You will bring experience with monthly results reporting & analysis, budgeting/forecasting and business analysis and financial modeling. The position requires an individual with a high degree of autonomy, a broad understanding of Infrastructure and a solid financial acumen.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

  • Oversight of consolidation, validation, and reporting capital forecast and budgets which includes variance analysis and commentary.
  • Ability to drive and maintain allocation of expenses. This includes process, models, and systems.
  • Opportunity to recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting financial and operational data. This may include scenario analysis, aggregation of necessary data, development of supporting models, coordination with Business Leaders to determine assumptions, and completion of key metrics, reporting, and benchmarks.
  • Partnership with Accounting for Close process duties, including capital review, trend analysis, variance analysis.
  • Gather information and data from various systems, reporting tools, and people.
  • Ability to bring data together in a meaningful way to provide granular insight into the various models.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis to support various business initiatives and special projects.

    WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

    • 12+ years of experience in financial analysis or similar role
    • Prior experience in similar role in technology (SaaS products) or telecom industries preferred
    • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, economics. Advanced degree desirable
    • Advanced skills and experience in financial modeling and statistical analysis
    • Ability to analyze and interpret data, and to identify relevant issues in solving business problems
    • Proven ability to use computer software and applications, including Microsoft Office (strong emphasis on Excel) and ERP reporting systems skills
