Internship – AdFarm

This position term will begin in May 2024 and end in August 2024

An internship is an excellent way to get to know AdFarm and the workings of a full-service Marketing Agency from the inside and immerse yourself in the Agriculture industry. It can also help you decide what career path is right for you. You'll have full day-to-day involvement in actual projects, selected to match your interests and abilities.

You'll join our team and work alongside AdFarm employees who are all professionals in their fields, this ranges from Account Management, Project Management, Public Relations, Content, Creative, Analytics and Research. Their perspectives will contribute to your understanding of our Agri-business, its demands, and rewards.

A supervisor/mentor will support you directly and you'll undertake regular assessments throughout your internship to ensure you get the most from the experience.

As part of the Internship, you'll have a formal mid-term review with your supervisor and mentor. At the close of your internship, you will be asked to prepare a presentation about your project and there will be discussion on project delivery and performance by your supervisor and mentor.

What you might do:

  • Help to create and execute, internal social media strategy through research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.
  • Provide support for AdFarm's internal teams including, but not limited to, project/account coordination and administration.
  • Develop written and visual resources to support the internal marketing efforts including but not limited to social posting, content calendars, and media trafficking.
  • Generate, edit, publish, and share content (original text, images, video, or graphics) that builds meaningful connections.
  • Manage company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of the company's social content.
  • Continuously improve metrics by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and best practices, and then suggesting how er could act on the information.
  • Support all members of the AdFarm team on a variety of projects, programs, and initiatives.

What you would bring:

  • Currently enrolled in Agribusiness, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, or equivalent degree program.
  • Competence in standard Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word).
  • Knowledge or experience with WordPress or other web publishing software is considered an asset.
  • Social media experience is considered an asset (utilizing Canva, Sprout Social or Hootsuite).
  • Strong written and verbal skills, good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with a willingness to take on a variety of projects, a demonstrated ability to prioritize, and ability to work independently or part of a team.
  • A keen interest in the Agricultural sector.
  • Experience in managing multiple priorities and working in a diverse team environment.
