Position Summary

As a Grocery Associate at Walmart Canada, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in the retail industry while providing exceptional customer service. This role involves maintaining and zoning the grocery area, assisting with stocking and sales, and adhering to the company's basic beliefs and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Zones the department to ensure a well-organized and visually appealing shopping experience.
  • Rotates stock and checks for expired products to maintain a high level of product freshness and quality.
  • Ensures merchandise is properly signed and priced to prevent errors and maintain customer trust.
  • Follows food safety and handling procedures, as well as sanitation and cleaning procedures, to maintain a clean and safe shopping environment.
  • Follows proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management.
  • Ensures the department is fully stocked with merchandise and is ready for business to meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Follows Health and Safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Stocks merchandise, picks, and downstocks as needed, and applies product protection when required to prevent damage and loss.
