ABO Wind is a globally successful renewable energy project developer with more than 1,200 employees. Since 1996, the company has developed and sold wind, solar, storage, and biogas projects with a capacity of more than 5,000 megawatts. We have also constructed approximately half of these projects. Our team works with enthusiasm on site acquisition, planning, engineering, financing and the construction of facilities for a sustainable energy supply.
To strengthen our team in Canada we are seeking a full-time Project Developer (junior) in our Calgary, Alberta Office.

Project Developer – Renewable Energy
Your Tasks
· Support senior staff in acquisition of land, development services, engineering, permitting, and financing of renewable energy projects across Western Canada
· Identify potential sites with good renewables resource, access to grid and robust characteristics to make competitive projects
· Coordinate closely with internal resources such as legal, site resource assessment, engineering and finance
· Support the collection, organization and filing of project documentation as well as reports for internal and external purposes
· Support senior staff in overseeing, updating and executing project budgets and schedules
Your Profile
· 1-2+ year professional record of managing complex tasks and working as part of an interdisciplinary team
· Experience in power sector and renewable energy is preferred
· Experience with land option lease agreements is preferred
· Experience working with community stakeholders, local First Nations and Indigenous communities
· Enthusiastic about the future of renewable energies and dedicated to pursuing a career in sustainable energy
· Academic degree preferably with a discipline in sustainable energy, planning, or engineering
· Ability to accurately record and prepare technical documentation
· English required, German or French an asset
