Our Team

Our Newfoundland and Labrador Operations incorporate mining, milling, and processing. The Utilities Maintenance team at Voisey's Bay handles a range of responsibilities, ensuring efficient operation across various facilities.

The Role

Vale respects local agreements, prioritizing Innu and Inuit workers. We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician – Scaffolder to join our Utilities Maintenance team in Voisey's Bay, NL.

This permanent position involves maintaining scaffolding, supporting equipment maintenance, and collaborating with the Utilities Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor.

  • Erect, inspect, and certify scaffolds
  • Conduct final safety inspections
  • Collaborate with maintenance tasks
  • Ensure proper equipment functionality
  • Provide feedback for improvements
  • Enhance equipment efficiency through maintenance

About You

Education:

  • Industrial Scaffolding College Diploma
  • Newfoundland & Labrador Journeyperson in scaffolding required
  • Red Seal certification in another trade considered an asset

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years Journeyperson experience
  • Demonstrated maintenance experience
  • Prior mining or heavy industrial experience required
